We found the Withlacoochee River Park after making through the Western
part of the Green Swamp. This park kinda butts up against it.
It was a good find and certainly somewhere we plan to visit on a regular
basis at the weekends.

One thing about this park that is a little bit different from other
wildlife parks is that there is a substantial paved trail that is quite
long and is well kept. This gives access to visitors in wheelchairs
and those who have kids in push chairs or strollers.

Along the trail we came across a tree stump with a carving on it. It
seemed like a Native American face, which was quite ironic as we
subsequently came across a group of people having a POW WOW.

I'm not an expert on Pow Wow's but this part was a long line of people
meeting and greeting the people who were participating in the activities,
like the dancing and music. The Native American history has certain
connections with the Scots and some interesting synergies were
realized. It was kinda cool to find out some of this stuff.
