Payne's Creek is the State Park that we probably frequent the most.  It was the first State Park that we found when we moved to Winter Haven and it has some of the best trails of all the parks we visit in central Florida.

It is also a State Park with a fair bit of local history attached to it.  Going to the visitor center started my interest in finding out more about the history of Florida and how the Scots influenced things when the settlers first came down here.
