Hilochee
Osprey Unit is a wildlife management area north of Lake Alfred in Polk
County, just before you get to 1-4. There are some nice trails
there, but not much shade on them, so it's a better place to go in the
cooler months than mid-summer. Not many people go there at all and
to date, we've never met anyone on the trails, which is very nice.
The only thing that we don't really like about this WMA is that you are
very near the freeway and you can hear the traffic from a large part of
the park.
