Cooper and I decided to go on a hike with the Florida Trail
Association. We got in touch with the local chapter and met them at
a new park to us and enjoyed a nice hike for about 8 miles. This is
near the beginning of the trail and we were up on a ridge that overlooked
a stream near Lake Arbuckle.

This is Cooper enjoying himself on the hike. He was the only canine
hiker, so he was getting a lot of attention from people.

Another good view of the creek from the high trail.

Cooper was very well behaved on the hike and really showed his experience
with Florida trails, I think the people from the association were pretty
impressed with him. The liked the fact that he understood directions
on which way to go when there was a branch in the trails.

Even in the middle of some of the best preserves in central Florida you
still get them damn redneck icons. Apparently this truck was in
fairly good condition when the association first built the trail here.
