An early morning hike down one of the more interesting parks we go to, Loyce Harpe, near Mulberry in Polk County.  This is yet another park that was reclaimed from the open-caste mines. Nice way to kick off our holiday weekend in May, 2007.

Cooper took me to a special Florida State Park for Father's Day this year, it was really hot, but because there were plenty of shaded trails, we had a good hike with his brothers.

Cooper resting after a quick hike around Lake June in Winter State Park.  This is one of the smaller state parks we go to and it's quite far away as it's south of Sebring, however it was a really beautiful day for sitting by the lakeside and taking some pics.

This is the last new Florida Park that Cooper and the boyz and I will ever find together or our weekend exploration hikes.  Just before I headed back to the homeland, we found that there was a parks unit right next to Highlands Hammock State Park that we'd never been to before.  It's called Seven Lakes Unit and you have to check in at the regular entry station for the state park.
