This is the very first view of the park we saw after we got out of our
truck, sure makes it worthwhile getting up early on the weekends.

Kinda reminded me a bit of Saddle Creek Park here with the cool lakeside
views. However, one thing we were a bit disappointed with was the
fact that they had no hiking trails at this park, even though they had the
acreage and some great potential.

The main activities in the park seemed to be picnicing and fishing.
Here we have a group of fishermen, who were trying to persuade me and
Gizzy that we wanted to buy some fish from them. Here we see Gizz
giving them the not so polite refusal......Grrrrrrrrrr.

Even though there weren't any trails, there was enough lakeside walks to
keep us happy, so we still had a good walk.

We did eventually find some unofficial trails on the way out of the park,
however, these were mainly created by fishermen trying to get to the
lakeside and were not very good for hiking.
